Fun Coffee Table Books
Every time I see one of my little coffee table books, I smile. I can remember where I got it or who gave it to me. The silly ones usually came with a lot of laughing. Looking for a house-warming or host gift? How about a gift for the person who has everything? Funny coffee table books are the ticket!
Heroes for My Son isn’t necessarily silly. I got this one from an airport during a 36-hour journey from Florida back to Utah. I like the people the book features. My kids just discovered this book on the shelf and have been reading about some great people!
T-Rex Trying is hilarious, and not just because I have extremely short arms. This book came from the Museum of Natural History in New York City. It’s my newest favorite!
Bad Cat is from the Z-Gallery. I got this book way before I ever had a cat. My sister and I laughed so hard in the store. I think she bought it for me for my birthday. One of the best gifts ever!
I don’t remember where I got The Underground Manual for Office Dares from but reading it will make any and every person who has a job laugh. We all know someone we’d like to do one or more of these dares to. I can’t say whether or not I have done any, but chances are in my favor.
If you’re not into using ridiculous humor for home decor, I have a couple other suggestions.
Thoughtful Coffee Table Books
For many years, I have printed my personal blog a year at a time in a hardbound book. I had them all set aside on a shelf but these have also been recently discovered by my kids who really love looking through them. Many of the books are from when I was single and they like to see those as much as the books since we all became a family.
All About Me is a journal-type book you can fill out, obviously, all about you. This was a fun gift from my sister. I haven’t written in it because I like to see the topics and think about how I would answer the questions now. On my personal blog, I did a post for every part of the book. Maybe I should do that again to see how my answers changed.
