I’m not a fan of clutter so I keep only the bare necessities on my home screen. Yes, Weather Kitty is a necessity. I choose to use the Google Calendar App and Google Inbox App rather than the iPhone versions because they are incredibly user-friendly. The Google Calendar is colorful, you can scroll through days, and you can add goals. The calendar finds available times to accomplish your goals and learns when you accomplish the goal so the app gets better and better and helping you schedule. Love it.
LiveCollage has been working really great for putting images together. I use Layout less and less because it seems to have a glitch and not save my image. I don’t mind keeping my camera tucked away in here because I can always get it by swiping up on any screen. I’ve heard good things about Ripl but I’m a little tech-challenged so I haven’t learned how to love it yet.
Maybe I’ve already told you, but I really like Audible. It took a little while to grow on me, but I get a ton more reading done if I can listen to books while I fold clothes, organize, cook, drive, play Sudoku, or sometimes while I work. Hands-free reading is really the way to go. Of course, Kindle is another favorite because my husband goes to bed almost an hour before I’m ready so I can use this to read my stories in the dark.
I am really not a gamer. Most of them, I played a lot for a while and now I never open. My current favorite is BubbleXplode. I really have no explanation why. But, I’ll tell you, MadLibs is an awesome app! I love Mad Libs! We played it a bunch on our girls’ trip in NYC while we rode the subway. So funny!
Am I the only one who goes through spurts of what they eat? For a long time, I stopped at 7-Eleven for a Diet Coke and blueberry muffin. With their app, you get a free drink every seven drinks. Plus, it has lots of other freebies on there. Every Saturday is a free slurpee, for example. Cafe Rio is always a favorite. Their app is the new way they give free meals, no more punch cards. It’s especially great if you watch for double-point days. A co-worker just recommended the McDonald’s app because it has free drinks or buy one, get one coupons that get updated all the time. I haven’t used it yet, but I love free Diet Coke. Noodles and Co. just started a rewards program. I love Noodles but I live far away from the closest one. I mostly downloaded it out of loyalty to the delicious Mac & Cheese!
Good news! All of my favorite and most-used apps are FREE!
Tell me what your favorite app is!
